International Law Firm
What makes Legalink unique is the close relationship between the members of the attorney network. All Legalink members know each other personally and through friendships. This is the reason why Legalink is build around the individual attorney and not around the involved law firms. This is also the reason why some of the involved law firms have more than 400 partners, while other offices only have few attorneys. It is the philosophy of Legalink that you engage an attorney, not a law firm.
Legalink’s first members were attorneys who studied at the South-western Legal Foundation’s Academy of American Law in Texas, US.
Among these was Legalink Danmark’s Per Dalskov. They experienced a need to co-operate across borders. Based on this friendship and need, the founders of Legalink invited other attorneys around the world to become part of Legalink. Today, more than 3,000 attorneys placed in 44 countries and in more than 80 international business centres are attached to Legalink.
Legalink's motto is "Business through friendship". The philosophy is to give a little more, a little faster and a little better in doing business with good colleagues all over the world.
Legalink’s Purpose
The global economy requires law firms everywhere to have close working relationships with other firms around the world to provide clients with excellent and personalized legal service. Those clients demand to know – and are entitled to know – that they are engaging the right lawyer from a reputable, successful firm.
Legalink’s purpose is to enable its members to develop those close working relationships. Through those relationships, member-firms enhance their own client relationships – and develop new ones – by extending the reach of their client service capabilities.
What makes Legalink unique
Legalink is a close-knit association of actively participating member law firms in 43 countries. It is not a typical name-on-a-list referral network.
Twice-a-year membership meetings create and reinforce strong relationships among individual lawyers. Membership at these meetings is mandatory.
Personal connections enable members to recommend foreign law firms with confidence and make effective individualized judgments about what firms will best serve their clients’ interests internationally.
